My problem with Libertarians

I have noticed that claiming to be a Libertarian is the new fad for my generation. *I'm not going to generalize ALL Libertarians, simply because I haven't personally met every Libertarian in this country, but among the ones I know personally they were all previously republicans. I don't know a single person who was previously declared a Democrat that is now a Libertarian. *Libertarians don't really see people as individuals like they claim to. And by that I mean they don't care about a person on a personal level, but more of a legal level. Everyone is legally their own person so this is 'Merica and they can do whatever the hell they want simply because they are a resident of the United States. I hate the fact they they seem to blow past the reality of things. Supposedly I'm legally equal to people to men. Since I'm legally equal that must mean that I get treated equal and my gender never holds me back from my daily life and hobbies, right? NO! As a female I have been told I have manly interests. I love to work on cars, play video games, partake in other nerdy stuff that's basically male dominated. Things I say constantly get discounted (mostly by people I don't know because most of my friends are males and they are all super nice and non-discriminating)simply for the fact that I am a female. It's not really fair that something like gender can make people assume you are ignorant to a subject. I mean as I stated before most of my friends are men and they all respect me 100%, but on a monthly basis I would say that I am affected by sexism. Back to the Libertarians. Another thing that bothers me about them is how pretentious they are. I have noticed they always start out their debates as "As a Libertarian I believe..." First of all, you're not some mythical political unicorn, Libertarianism isn't by any means new. I would hope you should know if I start a political battle with you I am knowledgeable of political parties. Second, hop off your high horse. You act like you're speaking in behalf of royalty. Like you have some leader you are worshiping. Stop lying to yourself, this country will never stray from bipartisanship at least not in our lifetime. Mostly because you're either Liberal or Conservative. It doesn't matter how far you are to the left or right, you're one or the other and I don't think you can be in the dead center either, not if you truly are passionate about your beliefs. And because of that a Third Party could never prevail in the USA. It's not really how things can work in this country at this point in the timeline of humanity. We're still too young as a human race to not pick sides. Maybe some individuals can, but as a whole we cannot, no argument there because open your eyes and look around, it's simply just not happening. Honestly it would be best to not really even have parties and appoint authorities based on what THEY believe in and not what a party as a whole believes in. I applaud Libertarians for that though, they have the right idea, but how about you just label yourself and an Independent and have opinions of policies and laws. Claiming a party really does nothing for you personally except create a false representation of your beliefs. While I am personally a very Liberal person, I don't consider myself as a Democrat because I don't like 100% of what the party does or how they do things. Being Independent is the true way to be an individual, so Libertarians going on about "everyone is an individual" picking a party isn't quite doing that for you. I mean how much more straight forward can the word independent be? Anyway, I'm getting very sleepy so I'm going to stop this blog here. I hope what I wrote makes sense. I'm too tired to proof this before I publish. Peace out.
